Dr. Randal Pinkett knows a thing or two about business. Most remember his rise to prominence as the winner of the fourth season of NBC’s The Apprentice, but there is so much more to this Newark native. He’s a Rhodes Scholar, author, recipient of two master’s degrees and a PhD from MIT, and most recently, his company, BCT Partners, was awarded a billion dollars in contracts from the U.S. government to help implement President Obama’s Affordable Care Act. Can you say black excellence? Now, Dr. Pinkett is reaching out to entrepreneurs via his Campus CEO Challenge - a business plan competition, that will come to Newark from March 1st to 3rd, 2013.
Sponsored by Prudential Financial and PSE&G, the Challenge consists of a three-day business startup workshop on the campus of NJIT that will award winning innovators seed money and business mentorship. Lean Startup Machine Newark is partnering with the Campus CEO Challenge to to teach entrepreneurs and startups how to fail fast and succced faster with product & business model development.
On the final day, Dr. Pinkett will hear each finalists’ pitch and winners will be announced and awarded.
